A Podium at the Miami Grand Prix
Back in the McLaren, this time on the Formula 1 undercard in Miami. P2 in Race 1, and then the thunderstorms rolled in and Race 2 never happened.
Some race weekends feel bigger than others. Miami was one of them: another chance to drive the McLaren, this time as a support race at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
Racing on an F1 weekend is a different world. The paddock is packed, the grandstands are full, and you're on the same circuit the Formula 1 cars use, the same walls, the same kerbs, the same braking zones you've watched on TV. It's the kind of stage that makes every lap feel like it matters a little more.
Race 1 delivered. We put together a strong run in the McLaren and crossed the line in P2, a podium at the Miami Grand Prix. Hell yeah.
“A podium on an F1 weekend in Miami. Standing up there with those grandstands behind you, that's a moment I'll keep.”

We were ready to go again the next day, but Miami had other plans. A thunderstorm rolled over the circuit and Race 2 was cancelled, the right call for safety, even if nobody likes packing up without racing. One race, one podium.
Thanks to the RWE team for a quick, well-prepared car, and to everyone who came out to support us on one of the biggest weekends of the year.
One race, one podium, and a weekend on the Formula 1 stage. Next up: back in the BMW with Zenith for my first-ever 12-hour race at VIR.
